Complex Psychiatry is a peer-reviewed, rapid communication journal that focuses on the complexity of psychiatry and human behavior considering a wide range of methods – including genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, pharmacogenomics, bioinformatics, molecular neuropharmacology, neural circuits, neural stem cells, and systems neurobiology in humans, and in animal and cellular model systems. The journal publishes original research articles and reviews that shed light onto the biology of psychiatric illness and complex behavioral traits. Submitted papers will be subject to an editorial review, and a decision whether to further peer review will be made in approximately 5 business days. We aim to have an initial review decision within 1 month. Simultaneous BioRxiv submission is strongly encouraged.

Complex Variables and Elliptic Equations is devoted to complex variables and elliptic equations including linear and nonlinear equations and systems, functional theoretical methods and applications, functional analytic, topological and variational methods, spectral theory, sub-elliptic and hypoelliptic equations, multivariable complex analysis and analysis on Lie groups, homogeneous spaces and CR-manifolds. Effective with the 2011 volume, this journal will be published in an online-only format. Complexity is a bi-monthly, cross-disciplinary journal focusing on the rapidly expanding science of complex adaptive systems. The purpose of the journal is to advance the science of complexity. Articles may deal with such methodological themes as chaos, genetic algorithms, cellular automata, neural networks, and evolutionary game theory. Papers treating applications in any area of natural science or human endeavor are welcome, and especially encouraged are papers integrating conceptual themes and applications that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries. Complexity is not meant to serve as a forum for speculation and vague analogies between words like 'chaos,' 'self-organization,' and 'emergence' that are often used in completely different ways in science and in daily life.

Composite Interfaces provides a forum for interdisciplinary scientific and engineering research on composite interfaces/interphases and their related phenomena. Presenting new concepts for composite interface study, the journal balances interest in chemistry, physical properties, mechanical properties, molecular structures, characterization techniques and theories. Composite Interfaces covers a wide range of topics including - but not restricted to - surface treatment of reinforcing fibers and fillers; effect of interface structure on mechanical properties, physical properties, curing and rheology; coupling agents; synthesis of matrices designed to promote adhesion; molecular and atomic characterization of interfaces; interfacial morphology; dynamic mechanical study of interphases; interfacial compatibilization; adsorption; tribology. The journal publishes articles encompassing composites with organic, inorganic and metallic materials and includes composites applied to aerospace, automotive appliances, electronics, construction, marine, optical and biomedical fields. Blends, coatings and adhesives are not traditionally called composites, but are an important part of the journal due to the common interests in the interfacial structures. All manuscript submissions are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees.

The past few decades have seen outstanding advances in the use of composite materials in structural applications. There can be little doubt that, within engineering circles, composites have revolutionised traditional design concepts and made possible an unparalleled range of new and exciting possibilities as viable materials for construction. Composite Structures, an International Journal, disseminates knowledge between users, manufacturers, designers and researchers involved in structures or structural components manufactured using composite materials.

The journal publishes papers which contribute to knowledge in the use of composite materials in engineering structures. Papers deal with design, research and development studies, experimental investigations, theoretical analysis and fabrication techniques relevant to the application of composites in load-bearing components for assemblies, ranging from individual components such as plates and shells to complete composite structures.

CompComm (Composites Communications) publishes peer-refereed short communications and letters on the latest advances and progresses in composites science and technology. It aims to disseminate new knowledge to the broad composites community in a timely fashion with its rapid review and publication process.

CompComm accepts manuscripts reporting creative concepts and new findings in design, state-of-the-art approaches in processing, synthesis, characterization and mechanics modelling. In addition to the traditional fiber-/particulate-reinforced engineering composites, composites with outstanding physical, mechanical and fracture properties, and unique functions and thus significant application potential, such as biomimetic and bio-inspired composites for biomedical applications, functional nano-composites for thermal management, energy harvesting and storage, composites for extreme service environments are encouraged.

CompComm also publishes Composites Views that are short overviews written by leading scientists covering exciting and innovative topics of general interest to all researchers in the field of composites.

Composites Part A: Applied Science and Manufacturing publishes original research papers, review articles, case studies, short communications and letters from a wide variety of sources dealing with all aspects of the science and technology of composite materials, including fibrous and particulate reinforcements in polymeric, metallic and ceramic matrices, and 'natural' composites such as wood and biological materials. The range of applicable topics includes the properties, design and manufacture of reinforcing fibers and particles, novel architectures and concepts, multifunctional composites, advances in fabrication and processing of composite materials and structures, manufacturing science, process modelling, experimental mechanics, microstructural characterization of composites and their constituent phases, interfaces in composites, new approaches to prediction and measurement of mechanical, physical and chemical behaviour, and performance of composites in service. Articles are also welcomed on economic and commercial aspects of the applications of composites, design with composites and case studies. All articles are subject to rigorous peer review to ensure they make an important and novel contribution, and a high standard is set for both content and presentation. The aim of Composites Part B: Engineering is to provide a balance between mechanics and materials science aspects, basic and applied research, and high technology and high volume (low cost) composite development.The Journal aims to provide a forum for the prompt publication of original research on all areas of composites and nano-engineered materials, with emphasis being placed on evaluation and modelling of engineering details and concepts. Basic research papers are welcomed as well as proposals for review articles. Composites Part C: Open Access (JCOMC), a sister journal to Composites Part A: Applied Science and Manufacturing, Composites Part B: Engineering, and Composite Structures, is a Gold Open Access journal. The journal publishes high-quality, peer-refereed original research articles and reviews on a broad range of composite materials. All research articles are freely available via the Internet upon publication to maximize the readership. Authors are welcome to submit your work to the most relevant topical section via its dedicated editorial channel.

Composites Science and Technology publishes refereed original articles on the fundamental and applied science of engineering composites. The primary focus of this journal is on polymeric matrix composites with reinforcements/fillers ranging from nano- to macro-scale. CSTE encourages manuscripts reporting unique, innovative contributions to the physics, chemistry, materials science and applied mechanics aspects of advanced composites.Besides traditional fiber reinforced composites, novel composites with significant potential for engineering applications are encouraged. These may include, but are not limited to, nanocomposites, biomedical composites, green/eco composites, energy composites, and composites mimicking natural materials. Manuscripts dealing with multi-scale and multi-functional issues and performance as well as interdisciplinary approaches to the study of new generation composite materials are welcome. Analytical work should be validated. Publication of manuscripts reporting routine processing, synthesis and property characterization are not a priority of CSTE.In order to expedite the handling of submissions, manuscripts will be given a preliminary review prior to the full reviewing process to evaluate their suitability for CSTE. General Review articles as well as Feature articles covering topics of major interests to the readers will be presented at regular intervals, often at the invitation of the Editors. CSTE does not accept short communications or letters. It is the aim of CSTE to play an effective role in the rapid dissemination of research findings in the ever-evolving field of composite materials.
