The Journal of Hazardous Materials publishes full length research papers, reviews, and case studies which improve our understanding of the hazards and risks certain materials pose to people and the environment or deal with ways of controlling these hazards and associated risks. The Editors particularly welcome proposals for review articles. The Editors reserve the right to decline, without external review, papers that do not meet these criteria, including papers that:Are very similar to previous publications, with changed target substrates, employed materials, analyzed sites or experimental methods,Deal with parameter optimization of known processes without new concepts and/or interpretations,Report the environmental analysis and monitoring of specific geographic areas without presenting new insights and/or hypothesis testing, orDo not focus on the environmental relevance and significance of the studied systems or materials.

The Journal of Health Care Chaplaincy publishes peer-reviewed, scholarly articles based on original research, quality assurance/improvement studies, descriptions of programs and interventions, program/intervention evaluations, and literature reviews on topics pertinent to pastoral/spiritual care, clinical pastoral education, chaplaincy, and spirituality in relation to physical and mental health. Examples of topics that might be found include: clinical pastoral education, development of new spiritual care practices, patient assessment, evaluation of chaplain interventions, pastoral/spiritual care outcomes, application of new healthcare regulations to chaplains, standards of practice, spiritual support for persons with different diseases and health problems, reviews of relevant findings from various healthcare and scientific fields. The journal is an excellent resource for chaplains, psychologists; physicians, nurses, and other health-care researchers and clinicians. Peer Review Policy: All research, theoretical, and review articles in this journal have undergone initial editorial screening and rigorous peer review.

The journal has as its goal the dissemination of information on the health of, and health care for, low income and other medically underserved communities to health care practitioners, policy makers, and community leaders who are in a position to effect meaningful change. Issues dealt with include access to, quality of, and cost of health care.

This journal seeks articles related to the economics of health and medical care. Its scope will include the following topics:Production of health and health services;Demand and utilization of health services;Financing of health services;Measurement of health;Behavioral models of demanders, suppliers and other health care agencies;Health behaviors and policy interventions;Efficiency and distributional aspects of health policy;and such other topics as the Editors may deem appropriate.
