The Journals of Gerontology were the first journals on aging published in the United States. The tradition of excellence in these peer-reviewed scientific journals, established in 1946, continues today. The Journals of Gerontology Series B publishes within its covers the Journal of Gerontology: Psychological Sciences and the Journal of Gerontology: Social Sciences.JOURNAL OF GERONTOLOGY: PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCES, Rosemary Blieszner, PhD, EditorPublishes articles on development in adulthood and old age that advance the psychological science of aging processes and outcomes. Articles in JG: PS have clear implications for theoretical or methodological innovation in the psychology of aging or contribute significantly to the empirical understanding of psychological processes and aging. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, attitudes, clinical applications, cognition, education, emotion, health, human factors, interpersonal relations, neuropsychology, perception, personality, physiological psychology, social psychology, and sensation. Applied research with theoretical significance is welcome. Manuscripts reporting work that relates behavioral aging to neighboring disciplines are also appropriate. The Journal publishes four types of articles: (a) reports of original research, (b) brief reports of original research, (c) invited reviews of cutting-edge work (New Directions in Aging Research), and (d) theoretical or methodological contributions. The oldest free-standing psychoanalytic journal in North America, The Psychoanalytic Quarterly is published every January, April, July, and October. Each issue contains from six to eight original articles, a section of in-depth book reviews, and a unique series of abstracts summarizing selected international journals and correlations with the neurosciences. A special section of the Quarterly is devoted to the examination of clinical process from a variety of viewpoints, utilizing presentations of case material. An independent journal with a strong clinical focus, the Quarterly is not wedded to any one school of psychoanalytic thought. Established in 1980, Therapeutic Communities (TC) is the only peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing international findings related to therapeutic communities, therapeutic and enabling environments and related fields.

The journal ''Verhaltenstherapie'' is dedicated to advancing behavioral therapy as a science and as a means of promoting health. Publishing original research and reviews, ''Verhaltenstherapie'' addresses key subjects in terms of behavioral and cognitive therapy. Subjects include anxiety, affective disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive as well as personality and other psychological disorders. Characterized by its strong clinical orientation, ''Verhaltenstherapie'' comprises a unique and vital reference to current research. It provides a forum within Europe for the study and discussion of matters relevant to behavioral therapy. This way it promotes research in behavioral therapy and the improvement of research methods. Target group of ''Verhaltenstherapie'' are clinical psychologists and psychotherapists.

Thematischer Schwerpunkt der Zeitschrift für Psychiatrie, Psychologie und Psychotherapie (ZPPP) ist die wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit psychischen Störungen sowie mit psychotherapeutischen Interventionsverfahren und den Methoden ihrer Entwicklung und Evaluation. Als Organ für die Publikation von Beiträgen aus allen Bereichen der Psychiatrie, der Psychologie und als Informationsorgan über vorwiegend evidenzbasierte psychotherapeutische Verfahren und Methoden dient die ZPPP unmittelbar der praktischen psychologischen Arbeit und trägt durch Diskussion und Erfahrungsberichte über einzelne Störungen bzw. Interventionsmethoden zur Entwicklung auf dem gesamten Gebiet der Psychiatrie, Psychologie und Psychotherapie bei.
