The Journal of Laser Applications® is the official journal of the Laser Institute of America and serves as the major international forum for exchanging ideas and information in disciplines that apply laser technology. The Journal of Low Temperature Physics serves an international medium for the publication of original papers and review articles on fundamental theoretical and experimental research developments in all areas of cryogenics and low temperature physics. Subject areas include Superconductivity; Superfluidity, quantum solids, liquids and gases; Matter waves; ultracold quantum gases, laser cooling; Macroscopic quantum effects and coherence; Magnetism and electronic properties, transport and phonon phenomena at low temperatures; Active areas in condensed matter physics, such as localization, quantum Hall effect and heavy Fermions; Quantum size effects and mesoscopic systems; Low temperature technology that concerns new areas of experimental research, and applications. The Journal also publishes Rapid Communications, Technical Notes, Conference Proceedings and Special Issues.

The purpose of the Journal of Luminescence is to provide a means of communication between scientists in different disciplines who share a common interest in the electronic excited state of molecular, ionic and covalent systems, whether crystalline, amorphous, or liquid.We invite original papers and reviews on such subjects as: exciton and polariton dynamics, dynamics, dynamics of localized excited states, energy transport in ordered and disordered systems, radiative and non-radiative recombination, relaxation processes, vibronic interactions in electronic excited states, photochemistry in condensed systems, excited state resonance, double resonance, etc, selective excitation spectroscopy, coherent processes in excited states, e.g. coherent optical transients, photon echoes, transient gratings, multiphoton processes such as optical bistability, hole burning, photochromism, multiphoton spectroscopy, new techniques for the study of excited states. This list is not intended to be exhaustive. Papers in the traditional areas of optical spectroscopy (absorption, MCD, luminescence, Raman scattering) are welcome. Papers on applications (phosphors, electro- and cathodo-luminescence, radiography, energy conversion, etc.) are also welcome if they present results of scientific, rather than only technological interest.Whatever the subject, to be accepted a paper must present some genuinely novel result of sufficient importance to justify publication in an international journal. All papers will be refereed. Authors may submit their papers if they wish to an associate editor, but the final responsibility for accepting or rejecting a paper rests with the general editor. Every effort will be made to ensure that submitted papers are acted on promptly. They should appear in print within four months of receipt in final form. Short communications are welcome and will be handled expeditiously.

This international journal is devoted to the publication of significant fundamental contributions to the physics of macromolecular solids and liquids. Besides all of the areas generally included in polymer solid state physics, this authoritative journal contains papers reporting research in transition mechanisms and structure -property relationships, the physics of polymer solutions and melts, of glassy and rubbery amorphous solids, and the physics of individual polymer molecules and natural polymers. The Journal of Magnetic Resonance presents original technical and scientific papers in all aspects of magnetic resonance, including nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) of solids and liquids, electron spin/paramagnetic resonance (EPR), in vivomagnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS), nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) and magnetic resonance phenomena at nearly zero fields or in combination with optics. The Journal's main aims include deepening the physical principles underlying all these spectroscopies, publishing significant theoretical and experimental results leading to spectral and spatial progress in these areas, and opening new MR-based applications in chemistry, biology and medicine. The Journal also seeks descriptions of novel apparatuses, new experimental protocols, and new procedures of data analysis and interpretation - including computational and quantum-mechanical methods - capable of advancing MR spectroscopy and imaging.With a solid track record spanning over four decades, the Journal of Magnetic Resonance is known for introducing high-quality, breakthrough articles. These have been seminal to the current state-of-the-art achieved by NMR, ESR, MRI and NQR, and it is a tradition we aim to preserve and enlarge. The Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials provides an important forum for the disclosure and discussion of original contributions covering the whole spectrum of topics, from basic magnetism to the technology and applications of magnetic materials and magnetic recording. The journal encourages greater interaction between the basic and applied subdisciplines of magnetism with short but comprehensive review articles, a rapid publication channel with "Letters to the Editor", in addition to full-length contributions. Beginning with a vision of a "materials-blind" society in the late 1960s, a few forward-looking individuals, with an eye toward advancing the cause of interdisciplinary research, made that vision a reality--the Materials Research Society, officially founded in 1973. The Society's core principles were interdisciplinarity, focused symposia, and greater interaction among researchers. These principles make MRS different from single-discipline professional societies because they encourage communication and technical information exchange across the various fields of science affecting materials.

The Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics is an established refereed companion to the Journal of Materials Science. It publishes papers on materials and their applications in modern electronics, covering the ground between fundamental science, such as semiconductor physics, and work concerned specifically with applications. It explores the growth and preparation of new materials, as well as their processing, fabrication, bonding and encapsulation, together with the reliability, failure analysis, quality assurance and characterization related to the whole range of applications in electronics. The Journal presents papers in newly developing fields such as low dimensional structures and devices, optoelectronics including III-V compounds, glasses and linear/non-linear crystal materials and lasers, high Tc superconductors, conducting polymers, thick film materials and new contact technologies, as well as the established electronics device and circuit materials.

The Journal of Mathematical Fluid Mechanics (JMFM) is a forum for the publication of high-quality peer-reviewed papers on the mathematical theory of fluid mechanics, with special regards to the Navier-Stokes equations. As an important part of that, the journal encourages papers dealing with mathematical aspects of computational theory, as well as with applications in science and engineering. The journal also publishes in related areas of mathematics that have a direct bearing on the mathematical theory of fluid mechanics. All papers will be characterized by originality and mathematical rigor.

Current developments in new image processing hardware, the advent of multisensor data fusion, and rapid advances in vision research have led to an explosive growth in the interdisciplinary field of imaging science. Emphasizing the role of mathematics as a rigorous basis for imaging science, this journal details innovative or established mathematical techniques applied to vision and imaging problems in a novel way. It also reports on new developments and problems in mathematics arising from these applications. The scope of Journal of Mathematical Imaging and Vision includes: - computational models of vision; imaging algebra and mathematical morphology - mathematical methods in reconstruction, compactification, and coding - filter theory - probabilistic, statistical, geometric, topological, and fractal techniques and models in imaging science - inverse optics - wave theory. This journal contains research articles, invited papers, and expository articles.

Journal of Mathematical Physics is published by the American Institute of Physics; content is published online daily, collected into monthly online and printed issues (12 issues per year). Its purpose is the publication of papers in mathematical physics–that is, the application of mathematics to problems in physics and the development of mathematical methods suitable for such applications and for the formulation of physical theories. The mathematics should be written in a manner that is understandable to theoretical physicists. The Journal of the Microwave Power Energy (JMPEE) is a quarterly publication of the International Microwave Power Institute (IMPI), aimed to be one of the primary sources of the most reliable information in the arts and sciences of microwave and RF technology. JMPEE provides space to engineers and researchers for presenting papers about non-communication applications of microwave and RF, mostly industrial, scientific, medical and instrumentation.
