JAMA Neurology (formerly Archives of Neurology) is an international peer-reviewed journal for physicians caring for people with neurologic disorders and those interested in the structure and function of the normal and diseased nervous system. The Archives of Neurology & Psychiatry began publication in 1919 and, in 1959, became 2 separate journals: Archives of Neurology and Archives of General Psychiatry. In 2013, their names changed to JAMA Neurology and JAMA Psychiatry, respectively. JAMA Neurology is a member of The JAMA Network family of journals, which includes JAMA and 11 specialty journals.

JAMA Neurology is published online weekly, every Monday, and 12 print/online issues a year. The journal receives almost 2 million online visits annually, and nearly 3 million article views and downloads. Without any author fees, all research articles are made free access online 12 months after publication on the JAMA website. All articles are made free access on an html app called The JAMA Network Reader on the day of publication. In addition, the online version is freely available or nearly so to institutions in developing countries through the World Health Organization's HINARI program.

The Journal of Affective Disorders publishes papers concerned with affective disorders in the widest sense: depression, mania, anxiety and panic. It is interdisciplinary and aims to bring together different approaches for a diverse readership. Journal of Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury (JBPPNI) is an Open Access, online journal encompassing all aspects of basic and clinical research findings in the area of brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injury. The peripheral nervous system is unique in its complexity and scope of influence. The areas of interest in the anatomy, physiology, metabolism, phylogeny, and limb growth tropism of peripheral nerves. Current areas of interest in the brachial plexus include clinical as well as basic scientific elements that will enhance recovery from injury. The scope of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine is clinical sleep medicine. Its emphasis is the publication of papers with direct applicability and/or relevance to the clinical practice of sleep medicine. This includes some original manuscripts such as clinical trials as well as clinical reviews, clinical commentary and debate, medical economic/practice perspectives, case series and novel/interesting case reports. In addition, the JCSM will publish proceedings from conferences, workshops and symposia sponsored by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine or other organizations related to improving the practice of sleep medicine.

The Journal of Intellectual Disability Research is devoted exclusively to the scientific study of intellectual disability and publishes papers reporting original observations in this field. The subject matter is broad and includes, but is not restricted to, findings from biological, educational, genetic, medical, psychiatric, psychological and sociological studies, and ethical, philosophical, and legal contributions that increase knowledge on the treatment and prevention of intellectual disability and of associated impairments and disabilities, and/or inform public policy and practice. Expert reviews on themes in which recent research has produced notable advances will be included. Such reviews will normally be by invitation. Anyone expert in his/her particular field wishing to submit an uninvited review is advised to seek prior guidance from the Editor. The Journal also includes brief reports, occasional letters, and an 'Hypothesis' section. All papers are assessed by expert referees.
