Results in Mathematics (RM) publishes mainly research papers in all fields of pure and applied mathematics. In addition, it publishes summaries of any mathematical field and surveys of any mathematical subject provided they are designed to advance some recent mathematical development.

Published in English, the journal RACSAM presents research articles and short papers covering Algebra; Applied Mathematics; Computational Sciences; Geometry and Topology; Mathematical Analysis; Statistics and Operations Research. Each issue also includes short papers of no more than 6 pages, announcing results and containing sketches of the proofs. Also featured are surveys in every mathematical field.

“Ricerche di Matematica” publishes high-quality research articles in any field of pure and applied mathematics. Articles must be original and written in English. Articles should be sent to any member of the Editorial Board or directly to the Editor-in-Chief. Details about article submission can be found in each issue of the journal.

The SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics publishes research articles that treat scientific problems using methods that are of mathematical interest. Appropriate subject areas include the physical, engineering, financial, and life sciences. Examples are problems in fluid mechanics, including reaction-diffusion problems, sedimentation, combustion, and transport theory; solid mechanics; elasticity; electromagnetic theory and optics; mathematical biology, including population dynamics, biomechanics, and physiology; linear and nonlinear wave propagation, including scattering theory and wave propagation in random media; inverse problems; nonlinear dynamics; stochastic processes, including queueing theory and finance; signal processing; and image processing. Mathematical techniques include asymptotic methods, bifurcation theory, dynamical systems theory, and probabilistic and statistical methods.

The SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization contains research articles on the mathematics and applications of control theory and on those parts of optimization theory concerned with the dynamics of deterministic or stochastic systems in continuous or discrete time or otherwise dealing with differential equations, dynamics, infinite-dimensional spaces, or fundamental issues in variational analysis and geometry.

The SIAM Journal on Imaging Sciences covers all areas of imaging sciences, broadly interpreted. It includes image formation, image processing, image analysis, image interpretation and understanding, computer graphics and visualization, and inverse problems in imaging; leading to applications to diverse areas in science, medicine, engineering, and other fields. Formal approaches, at the level of mathematics and/or computations, as well as state-of-the-art practical results, are expected from manuscripts published in SIIMS. SIIMS provides a broad authoritative source for fundamental results in imaging sciences, with a unique combination of mathematics and applications. SIIMS is mathematically and computationally based, and offers a unique forum to highlight the commonality of methodology, models, and algorithms among diverse application areas of imaging sciences.Authors are encouraged to exploit the endless possibilities of an electronic publication with the use of color, animations, video, presentations, and additional supplementary material as detailed in the instructions for authors. SIIMS provides cross-referencing with the peer-reviewed journal Image Processing On Line (IPOL). We encourage authors to submit their algorithm description and software to IPOL in order to increase the visibility of their work and the potential for collaboration between researchers.Research papers that innovate both in the fundamentals and in the applications are especially welcome. SIIMS focuses on conceptually new ideas, methods, and fundamentals as applied to all aspects of imaging sciences.

The SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis features research articles of the highest quality employing innovative analytical techniques to treat problems in the natural sciences. Every paper has content that is primarily analytical and that employs mathematical methods in such areas as partial differential equations, the calculus of variations, functional analysis, approximation theory, harmonic or wavelet analysis, or dynamical systems. Additionally, every paper relates to a model for natural phenomena in such areas as fluid mechanics, materials science, quantum mechanics, biomathematics, mathematical physics, or to the computational analysis of such phenomena.

The SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis contains research articles on the development and analysis of numerical methods. Topics include the rigorous study of convergence of algorithms, their accuracy, their stability, and their computational complexity. Also included are results in mathematical analysis that contribute to algorithm analysis, and computational results that demonstrate algorithm behavior and applicability.

The SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing contains research articles on numerical methods and techniques for scientific computation. Papers address computational issues relevant to the solution of scientific or engineering problems and include computational results demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

The SIAM Review consists of five sections, all containing articles of broad interest. Survey and Review features papers with a deliberately integrative and up-to-date perspective on a major topic in applied or computational mathematics or scientific computing. Expository Research Papers contains research papers in applied mathematics and scientific computation that have appeal to a broad audience and feature a high quality of exposition. SIGEST highlights a recent paper from one of SIAM's eleven specialized research journals, chosen on the basis of exceptional interest to the entire SIAM community and revised and condensed as needed for greater accessibility. Education consists primarily of individual modules that are self-contained presentations of specific topics in applied mathematics, scientific computation, or their applications; each module provides the primary material needed to teach a given topic as well as supplementary material. The Book Reviews section contains a featured review that provides an overview of several books in a subject area. Shorter reviews of individual books are also included.

The journal of SET-VALUED AND VARIATIONAL ANALYSIS: THEORY AND APPLICATIONS is devoted to variational aspects of mathematical analysis and its applications and to all the aspects involving set-valued mappings and related topics. The journals aims to serve both specialists and users of set-valued and variational analysis, promoting, in this way, strong interactions between them, with particular emphasis on applications. Aim and Scope: Statistics and Its Interface is an international statistical journal promoting the interface between statistics and other disciplines including, but not limited to, biomedical sciences, geosciences, computer sciences, engineering, and social and behavioral sciences. The journal publishes high-quality articles in broad areas of statistical science, emphasizing substantive problems, sound statistical models and methods, clear and efficient computational algorithms, and insightful discussions of the motivating problems.
