This journal is devoted to timely reviews of experimental and clinical studies in the field of endocrine, metabolic, and immune disorders. Specific emphasis is placed on humoral and cellular targets for natural, synthetic, and genetically engineered drugs that enhance or impair endocrine, metabolic, and immune parameters and functions. Topics related to the neuroendocrine-immune axis are given special emphasis in view of the growing interest in stress-related, inflammatory, autoimmune, and degenerative disorders. Original articles related to Immune Disorders and Drug Targeting are also considered for publication.

Environmental Microbiology provides a high profile vehicle for publication of the most innovative, original and rigorous research in the field. The scope of the Journal encompasses the diversity of current research on microbial processes in the environment, microbial communities and microbial interactions, including, but not limited to, the following: the structure, activities and communal behaviour of microbial communities microbial interactions and interactions with plants, animals and non-living environmental factors population biology and clonal structure microbes and surfaces adhesion and biofouling responses to environmental signals and stress factors growth and survival modelling and theory development microbial community genetics and evolutionary processes microbial physiological, metabolic and structural diversity pollution microbiology extremophiles and life in extreme and unusual little-explored habitats primary and secondary production element cycles and biogeochemical processes microbially-influenced global changes new technological developments in microbial ecology, in particular for the study of activities of microbial communities and of non-culturable microorganisms Interdisciplinary studies of fundamental problems are particularly welcome.

The journal is identical in scope to Environmental Microbiology, shares the same editorial team and submission site, and will apply the same high level acceptance criteria. The two journals will be mutually supportive and evolve side-by-side. Environmental Microbiology Reports provides a high profile vehicle for publication of the most innovative, original and rigorous research in the field. Similarly, manuscripts which report optimization studies on well-established processes are inappropriate. EMT does not accept papers dealing with mathematical modeling unless they report significant, new experimental data.

Epidemics publishes papers on infectious disease dynamics in the broadest sense. Its scope covers both within-host dynamics of infectious agents and dynamics at the population level, particularly the interaction between the two. Areas of emphasis include: spread, transmission, persistence, implications and population dynamics of infectious diseases; population and public health as well as policy aspects of control and prevention; dynamics at the individual level; interaction with the environment, ecology and evolution of infectious diseases, as well as population genetics of infectious agents.The journal will only publish papers that use high quality novel or published data in their analysis. Successful manuscripts are typically multidisciplinary and integrative. The European Journal of Immunology (EJI) is a basic immunology research journal, focusing on various aspects of immunology including but not limited to antigen processing, cellular immune response, immunity to infection, immunomodulation, innate immunity, molecular immunology, leukocyte signalling, clinical immunology, and new technology.
