Chemical and Petroleum Engineering is a translation of the Russian journal Khimicheskoe i Neftegazovoe Mashinostroenie.
The Russian Volume Year is published in English from April. All articles are peer-reviewed.

Chemistry and Ecology publishes original papers, short communications and occasional review articles on the relationship between chemistry and ecological processes. The journal will reflect the fact that chemical form and state, as well as other basic properties, are critical in their influence on biological systems and that understanding of the routes and dynamics of the transfer of materials through atmospheric, terrestrial and aquatic systems, and the associated effects, calls for an integrated treatment. Chemistry and Ecology will help to promote the ecological assessment of changing chemical environment and in the development of a better understanding of ecological functions.Chemistry and Ecology encourages multi-disciplinary approaches dealing with: Environmental pollution: distribution, fate and ecological implications of pollutants including nutrients and key elements, in the atmospheric, soil and aquatic environments. Ecotoxicology: responses to toxic agents at community, species, tissue, cellular and sub-cellular level, including aspects of uptake, metabolism and excretion of toxicants. Environmental bioremediation and biotechnology: laboratory and field research on the identification, evaluation and use of biological/biotechnological items and supporting physical treatments for the restoration of contaminated soil and aquatic environments; laboratory and field research on microbial, plant or animal fouling and its monitoring and their treatment; Biogeochemical cycles: biogeochemical cycles in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems with special emphasis on the potential effects of pollutants. China Ocean Engineering integrates new research concepts, equipment, technology, materials and structures and other scientific advances within the field of estuarial, coastal, offshore, and deep water engineering with particular reference to developments. The Journal is concerned with all engineering aspects involved in the exploration and utilization of ocean resources. Chinese Geographical Science is an international journal that has been published in China since 1991. It covers all fields of geography, and publishes original research papers, review articles, research reports, and academic activities. Clays and Clay Minerals is the official publication of THE CLAY MINERALS SOCIETY. Climate (ISSN 2225-1154) is an independent, international and multi-disciplinary open access journal focusing on climate processes of the earth, covering all scales and involving modelling and observation methods. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible, and there is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and methodical details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

The international journal Climate Dynamics provides for the publication of high-quality research on all aspects of the dynamics of the global climate system. Coverage includes original paleoclimatic, diagnostic, analytical and numerical modeling research on the structure and behavior of the atmosphere, oceans, cryosphere, biomass and land surface as interacting components of the dynamics of global climate. Contributions are focused on selected aspects of climate dynamics on particular scales of space or time. The journal also publishes reviews and papers emphasizing an integrated view of the physical and biogeochemical processes governing climate and climate change.

Climate Risk Management publishes original scientific contributions, state-of-the-art reviews and reports of practical experience on all aspects of the production and use of climate and climate-related information in decision and policy making from the near- to long-term.

Submission of multi- and interdisciplinary studies, particularly those involving economics and the social sciences, is encouraged.

Climate services develop and provide science-based and user-specific information relating to past, present and potential future climate. They help society cope with climate variability and change. Climate service users include economic, administrative, political and scientific bodies, within and across sectors and disciplines. Information about climate, climate change, and impacts on natural and human systems as well as mitigation and adaptation strategies is tailored to the specific user requirements.

The journal Climate Services is at the interface between climate research and application, specifically related to climate services. Climate services address all sectors affected by climate, at global, regional and local scale. They connect natural and socio-economic research with practice. Climate Services addresses both researchers in the field of climate service research, and stakeholders and practitioners interested in or already applying climate services. This is reflected in a new climate service article type, which contains a classical scientific part as well as a chapter with easily understandable practical implications for policy makers and practitioners.

Climate of the Past (CP) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles, short communications and review papers on the climate history of the Earth.The main subject areas are:* reconstructions of past climate based on instrumental and historical data as well as proxy data from marine and terrestrial (including ice) archives; development and validation of new proxies, improvements of the precision and accuracy of proxy data;* theoretical and empirical studies of processes in and feedback mechanisms between all climate system components in relation to past climate change on all space and time scales; * simulation of past climate and model-based interpretation of palaeo climate data for a better understanding of present and future climate variability and climate change.Climate of the Past has an innovative two-stage publication process which involves a scientific discussion forum and exploits the full potential of the Internet to:* foster scientific discussion;* enhance the effectiveness and transparency of scientific quality assurance;* enable rapid publication;* make scientific publications freely accessible.In the first stage, papers that pass a rapid access-review by one of the editors are immediately published on the Climate of the Past Discussions (CPD) website. They are then subject to Interactive Public Discussion, during which the referees' comments (anonymous or attributed), additional short comments by other members of the scientific community (attributed) and the authors' replies are also published in CPD. In the second stage, the peer-review process is completed and, if accepted, the final revised papers are published in CP. To ensure publication precedence for authors, and to provide a lasting record of scientific discussion, CPD and CP are both ISSN-registered, permanently archived and fully citable.

Climatic Change is dedicated to the totality of the problem of climatic variability and change - its descriptions, causes, implications and interactions among these. The purpose of the journal is to provide a means of exchange among those working in different disciplines on problems related to climatic variations. This means that authors have an opportunity to communicate the essence of their studies to people in other climate-related disciplines and to interested non-disciplinarians, as well as to report on research in which the originality is in the combinations of (not necessarily original) work from several disciplines. The journal also includes vigorous editorial and book review sections.
