Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Systems publishes original papers pertaining to state-of-the-art research and development, product development, process planning, resource planning, applications, and tools in the areas related to advanced manufacturing.

The Journal of Advanced Transportation is a fully peer reviewed international journal in the general area of transportation. It publishes papers ranging from methodological to descriptive case studies in analysis, planning, design, technology, economics and operations of transport and traffic systems. Transport Planning, Urban Rail and Bus Systems, Air & Water transport, Intelligent Transport Systems, Highway and Traffic Engineering, Transport and Traffic Systems Analysis, and Transport in Developing Countries are some topics of interest.

Journal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry (formerly titled Journal of Automated Methods and Management in Chemistry) publishes original research articles as well as review articles related to the use of analytical methods in chemistry with particular emphasis on automation and mechanization in analytical, clinical, and industrial environments.

The Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology aims to publish high quality, original research articles, expository tutorial papers and review papers as well as short, critical comments on technical issues associated with the analysis of cellular information.The research papers will be technical presentations of new assertions, discoveries and tools, intended for a narrower specialist community. The tutorials, reviews and critical commentary will be targeted at a broader readership of biologists who are interested in using computers but are not knowledgeable about scientific computing, and equally, computer scientists who have an interest in biology but are not familiar with current thrusts nor the language of biology. Such carefully chosen tutorials and articles should greatly accelerate the rate of entry of these new creative scientists into the field.

The Journal of Biomedical Informatics (formerly Computers and Biomedical Research) has been designed to reflect a commitment to high-quality original research papers, reviews, and commentaries in the area of biomedical informatics. Although we publish articles motivated by applications in the biomedical sciences (for example, clinical medicine, health care, population health, imaging, and translational bioinformatics), the journal emphasizes reports of new methodologies and techniques that have general applicability and that form the basis for the evolving science of biomedical informatics. Articles on medical devices; evaluations of implemented systems (including clinical trials of information technologies); or papers that provide insight into a biological process, a specific disease, or treatment options would generally be more suitable for publication in other venues. Papers on applications of signal processing and image analysis are often more suitable for biomedical engineering journals, although we do publish papers that emphasize the information management and knowledge representation/modeling issues that arise in the storage and use of biological signals and images. System descriptions are welcome if they illustrate and substantiate the underlying methodology that is the principal focus of the report and an effort is made to address the generalizability and/or range of application of that methodology.The methods that are the focus of JBI papers may be drawn from any of a number of component sciences in the field of biomedical informatics. Although the methods are often related to the field of computer science, many JBI papers will emphasize innovative techniques from other fields, such as decision science, statistics, cognitive science, psychology, information science, or management science.

Journal of Biomedical Semantics encompasses all aspects of semantic resources and their use in data integration, mining, modeling, interpretation and exploitation in biomedical research.

The Journal of Building Performance Simulation (JBPS) is the official journal of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA). IBPSA is a non-profit international society of computational building performance simulation researchers, developers, practitioners and users, dedicated to improving the design, construction, operation and maintenance of new and existing buildings worldwide.The JBPS is an international refereed journal, publishing only articles of the highest quality that are original, cutting-edge, well-researched and of significance to the international community.
