Traditionally, project management has been neglected by business schools and by default it has become the preserve of more specialised professional faculties such as engineering and architecture. By taking a broader organisational perspective and by covering a wider range of industries and professions, IJPOM will appeal to a wider readership which includes not only those with an interest in mainstream management topics but also practitioners engaged in an unlimited variety of projects.

IJPA is an international, research-driven, peer-reviewed, publication aimed at exploring the latest developments in public administration and management 8211; translating theory for practice and practice into theory. Our aim is to be truly global in scope, covering developed, emerging and transitional states and all areas of public activity. We welcome both individual country-based and especially comparative work. Our target audience is not just scholars, but also policy-makers and practitioners, including aspiring public sector leaders engaged in education and research in the growing global MPA community. We want to draw on the latest research 8211; whether carried out by scholars or practitioners or indeed collaborations. We aim 8211; and encourage 8211; the reporting of this research to be as clear and accessible as possible to the widest possible audience, whilst maintaining the necessary rigour and scholarly standards. IJPA will include not just cutting edge research, but also: feature interviews or opinion pieces from leading scholars and policy-makers; a resources section for scholars and practitioners; occasional symposia and debates; and themed issues of topics of special interest. If the article meets the general expectations of a scholarly article, it is usually sent out to two blind reviewers. It can then be accepted, resubmitted with attention to the reviewer(s)' comments, or rejected.
