Gastric Cancer, a joint official journal of the International Gastric Cancer Association and the Japanese Gastric Cancer Association, publishes significant studies related to stomach neoplasms. The journal welcomes original articles, case reports, short communications, and technical notes, which will be peer-reviewed by the editorial board. Letters to the Editor commenting on articles published in the journal or expressing views on topics concerning gastric cancer are also welcomed. Review articles are in principle solicited by the Editor. Meeting reports will include summaries of symposia or consensus achieved in the congresses of related associations.

Gene publishes papers that focus on the regulation, expression, function and evolution of genes in all biological contexts, including all prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, as well as viruses.Gene strives to be a very diverse journal and topics in all fields will be considered for publication. Gene also welcomes papers that have predominantly a descriptive component but improve the essential basis of knowledge for subsequent functional studies, or provide important confirmation of recently published discoveries.The primary criteria for acceptance are that the work is original and scientifically sound. The journal appreciates that standards of novelty are arbitrary, differ among disciplines and geographic locations, as well as change with time. In partnership with Editors, Referees and Authors, the journal will promote the revision of papers to ensure that accepted papers are reasonably complete and competitive with concurrent submissions in a given field.

Gene Expression Patterns is devoted to the rapid publication of high quality studies of gene expression during development. These studies can be the in situ expression patterns of important or interesting genes, or the temporal expression of large gene sets during development. Studies of gene expression in cell culture are also suitable if they have clear developmental relevance; for example, analysis of key regulatory genes or of gene sets in the maintenance or differentiation of stem cells. There is no specific length limitation for the papers provided that the results are reported succinctly.

Gene Therapy covers both the research and clinical applications of the new genetic therapy techniques currently being developed. Over the last decade, gene therapy protocols have entered clinical trials in increasing numbers and as they cover a wide spectrum of diseases, these studies promise to unite the diverse organ-based specialities into which modern medicine has become divided. Gene Therapy covers all aspects of gene therapy as applied to human disease, including: * novel technological developments for gene transfer, control and silencing * basic science studies of mechanisms of gene transfer and control of expression * preclinical animal model systems and validation studies * clinical trial reports which have significant impact for the field * gene-based vaccine development and applications * cell-based therapies including all aspects of stem cells and genetically modified cellular approaches.

General and Comparative Endocrinology publishes articles concerned with the many complexities of vertebrate and invertebrate endocrine systems at the sub-molecular, molecular, cellular and organismal levels of analysis. Genes (ISSN 2073-4425), an international, peer-reviewed open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to genes, genetics and genomics. It publishes reviews, research articles, communications and technical notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided. Genes & Genomics is an official journal of the Korean Genetics Society (http://kgenetics.or.kr/). Although it is an official publication of the Genetics Society of Korea, membership of the Society is not required for contributors. It is a peer-reviewed international journal publishing print (ISSN 1976-9571) and online version (E-ISSN 2092-9293). It covers all disciplines of genetics and genomics from prokaryotes to eukaryotes from fundamental heredity to molecular aspects. The articles can be reviews, research articles, and short communications.

The journal does not exclude the topics of plant biology, development biology, immunology, cancer, and disease biology if the experiment and subsequent analyses are viewed as genetics and genomics. Genes & Cancer, peer-reviewed and published monthly, covers all aspects of the structure and function of oncogenes, growth suppressor and apoptotic genes, and the mechanisms by which their expression and function are altered during tumor development. Genes & Diseases is an international journal for molecular and translational medicine. The journal primarily focuses on publishing investigations on the molecular bases and experimental therapeutics of human diseases. Publication formats include full length research article, review article, short communication, correspondence, perspectives, commentary, views on news, and research watch.

Aims and Scopes

Genes & Diseases publishes rigorously peer-reviewed and high quality original articles and authoritative reviews that focus on the molecular bases of human diseases. Emphasis will be placed on hypothesis-driven, mechanistic studies relevant to pathogenesis and/or experimental therapeutics of human diseases. The journal has worldwide authorship, and a broad scope in basic and translational biomedical research of molecular biology, molecular genetics, and cell biology, including but not limited to cell proliferation and apoptosis, signal transduction, stem cell biology, developmental biology, gene regulation and epigenetics, cancer biology, immunity and infection, neuroscience, disease-specific animal models, gene and cell-based therapies, and regenerative medicine.

Genes & Immunity emphasizes studies that demonstrate genetic, genomic or functional variation in the immune system, and assist our understanding of how the basic control over the immune system varies between individuals both in health and disease. The emerging role for genes outside the MHC will be of particular interest.

Genes to Cells provides an international forum for the publication of papers describing important aspects of molecular and cellular biology. The journal aims to present papers that provide conceptual advance in the relevant field. Particular emphasis will be placed on work aimed at understanding the basic mechanisms underlying biological events.

Genes, Brain and Behavior is a new journal publishing top quality research in behavioral and neural genetics in its broadest sense. The emphasis is on the analysis of the behavioral and neural phenotypes under consideration, the unifying theme being the genetic approach as a tool to increase our understanding of these phenotypes. Genes Brain and Behavior is pleased to offer the following features:.

Genes, Chromosomes & Cancer will offer rapid publication of original full-length research articles , perspectives , reviews , letters to the editors , as well as editorial commentaries on genetic analysis as related to the study of neoplasia. Particular emphasis will be placed on work combining molecular and cytogenetic analyses of the genomic alterations of cancer cells. While preference will be given to research using analytical approaches, descriptive studies and case reports will also be welcomed, particularly when they offer insights regarding basic biologic mechanisms or the clinical management of neoplastic disorders. Specific areas covered will include:
