Water (ISSN 2073-4441) is an international and cross-disciplinary scholarly journal covering all aspects of water including water science and technology, and the hydrology, ecology and management of water resources. It publishes regular research papers, critical reviews and short communications, and there is no restriction on the length of the papers. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical research in as much detail as possible. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided for research articles. Computed data or files regarding the full details of the experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material.
Each publication must have at least one author who has been, or still is, a recipient of a Wellcome grant.
Wellcome Open Research provides all Wellcome researchers with a place to rapidly publish any results they think are worth sharing. All articles benefit from immediate publication, transparent refereeing and the inclusion of all source data.
Wellcome Open Research is an Open Research platform: all articles are published open access; the publishing and peer-review processes are fully transparent; and authors are asked to include detailed descriptions of methods and to provide full and easy access to source data underlying the results to improve reproducibility.

All aspects of applied microbiology and biotechnology are published in research papers, short communications, technical communications and review articles. Virological topics however are outside the scope of the journal. The World Journal of Microbiology & Biotechnology provides a forum for research work directed towards microbiological and biotechnological solutions to global problems encouraging contributions from scientists from all across the globe who have an interest in tackling them. As many global issues, for example improving crop productivity, public health and waste management, have more acute consequences in the developing world, the Journal emphasizes the role of biotechnological advances, for and from developing regions.Details Concerning the Submission and Publication Procedures:

Wound Repair and Regeneration provides extensive international coverage of cellular and molecular biology, connective tissue, and biological mediator studies in the field of tissue repair and regeneration and serves a diverse audience of surgeons, plastic surgeons, dermatologists, biochemists, cell biologists, and others.
Xenobiotica covers six main areas, including: General Xenobiochemistry, including in vitro studies concerned with the metabolism, disposition and excretion of drugs, and other xenobiotics, as well as the structure, function and regulation of associated enzymes Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism, covering the pharmacokinetics and absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of drugs and other xenobiotics in man Animal Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism, covering the pharmacokinetics, and absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of drugs and other xenobiotics in animals Pharmacogenetics, defined as the identification and functional characterisation of polymorphic genes that encode xenobiotic metabolising enzymes and transporters that may result in altered enzymatic, cellular and clinical responses to xenobiotics Molecular Toxicology, concerning the mechanisms of toxicity and the study of toxicology of xenobiotics at the molecular level Topics in Xenobiochemistry, in the form of reviews and commentaries are primarily intended to be a critical analysis of the issue, wherein the author offers opinions on the relevance of data or of a particular experimental approach or methodology. A close liaison between Xenobiotica and the International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics has been established, giving rise to special issues of the journal. Yeast publishes original research articles, reviews and short communications on all aspects of Saccharomyces and other yeast genera, including clinically important yeasts. The journal focuses on the most significant developments of research with unicellular fungi and is essential reading for those wishing to keep up to date with this rapidly moving field. Topics covered include:
The only peer-reviewed journal to focus on the zebrafish, which has many valuable features as a model organism for study of vertebrate development. Due to its prolific reproduction and the external development of the transparent embryo, the zebrafish is a prime model for genetic and developmental studies, as well as research in toxicology and genomics. While genetically more distant from humans, the vertebrate zebrafish nevertheless has comparable organs and tissues, such as heart, kidney, pancreas, bones, and cartilage.Demand for zebrafish at National Institutes of Health (NIH) has been fast growing as word spreads that the tiny, black-striped creature makes an excellent supplement and, in some cases, alternative to lab mice for research. Zebrafish also includes research with other aquarium species such as medaka, Fugu, and Xiphophorus.
Zeitschrift fur Medizinische Physik (Journal of Medical Physics) is an official organ of the German and Austrian Society of Medical Physic and the Swiss Society of Radiobiology and Medical Physics. The Journal is a platform for basic research and practical applications of physical procedures in medical diagnostics and therapy. The articles are reviewed following international standards of peer reviewing.Focuses of the articles are:Biophysical methods in radiation therapy and nuclear medicineDosimetry and radiation protectionRadiological diagnostics and quality assuranceModern imaging techniques, such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomographyUltrasonography diagnostics, application of laser and UV raysElectronic processing of biosignalsIn the Journal, the latest scientific insights find their expression in the form of original articles, reviews, technical communications, and information for the clinical practice. For more information, go to http://journals.elsevier.de/zemedi
Aims and Scope Zoologica Scriptapublishes empirical. theoretical. and methodological papers. review articles and debate comments and replies dealing with zoological diversity. taxonomy and systematics in a phylogenetic context. Purely taxonomic papers (like species descriptions without putting these in a wider systematic context) will not be considered. and preference will be given to studies addresssing phylogeny. biogeography. and palaeontology using morphological. molecular and bioinformatic methods. Phylogeographic studies must have clear systematic/taxonomic conclusions to be considered.
The journal Zoomorphology publishes original research papers based on morphological investigation of invertebrates and vertebrates and reviews designed as comparative surveys summarizing current knowledge from an evolutionary perspective. Coverage spans the macroscopic, microscopic and ultrastructural levels, including embryological studies. The journal places special emphasis on: Comparison - Studies comparing morphological and anatomical structures to unravel homologies Function - Studies relating structure and function Integration - Studies on the relation between structural-functional systems of animals and their general biology Evolution - Studies on the evolution of morphological and anatomical structures on the basis of sound phylogenies Development - Studies on the spatiotemporal formation of morphological and anatomical structures
