Microbiology and Immunology is a multidisciplinary journal aimed at providing insight into the study of microbes and the host immune, biological and physiological responses, and therapeutics.

MicrobiologyOpen is a peer reviewed journal delivering rapid decisions and fast publication of microbial science, a field which is undergoing a profound and exciting evolution in this post-genomic era. The journal gives priority to reports of quality research, pure or applied, that further our understanding of microbial interactions and microbial processes. MicrobiologyOpen gives prompt and equal consideration to papers reporting theoretical, experimental, applied and descriptive work in all aspects of microbiology. Microbiota Medicine Research seeks submissions of original research, reviews, guidelines, case reports, and perspectives that cover areas of interest relating to microbiota medicine for improving patient care, clinical practice and education. A rapid review service is offered for papers that impact microbe or microbiome-based medical practice, health policy changing and education, including but not limited to therapies based on microbiota transplantation, probiotics, bacteriophages, engineered bacteria, oncolytic viruses, oncolytic bacteria, prebiotics, microbial metabolism, antibiotics, etc., and diagnostics utilizing microbes, microbial communities, and related approaches.

Papers describe applications of the methods of physiology, biophysics, bioengineering, genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology to problems in microcirculation. The journal also publishes state-of-the-art reviews that address frontier areas or new advances in technology in the fields of microcirculatory disease and function. Microscopy Research and Technique ( MRT ) publishes articles on all aspects of advanced microscopy in the biological, clinical, chemical, and materials sciences. Original research as well as technical papers dealing with the various subsets of microscopy are welcomed. This includes electron microscopy (transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, analytical microscopy [X-ray, EELS, Auger, etc.]), light microscopy (confocal microscopy, video microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, light microscopy combined Raman spectroscopy, fourier transform infra red spectroscopy [FTIR], etc.), scanning probe microscopy (AFM, STM, etc.), micro magnetic resonance imaging, micro acoustic imaging, as well as image analysis, quantitative morphology, and all other forms of leading edge microscopic imaging and image analysis. It is expected that manuscripts submitted for consideration will clearly present the scientific question, justify the type of specimen(s) used in the experiment, explicitly describe the methods utilized, employ proper statistics, present previously unpublished data, discuss whether the experiment has answered the proposed question, compare the results with those in salient published literature, and conform to MRT 's prescribed journal format.
