Founded in 1957 by the Ministry of Higher and Special Secondary Education of the USSR and by Kazan State University, the journal encompasses the most significant research in both pure and applied mathematics, which is carried out by scientists of Russian universities, institutions of higher education, and the Russian Academy of Sciences. The articles of well-known mathematicians from the C.I.S. and other countries are also published. Some issues have a thematic character, but they are of general interest.

The journal Russian Meteorology and Hydrology provides comprehensive coverage of meteorological and hydrological research throughout the former Soviet Union. Coverage includes weather forecasting; climate changes, global and regional; weather modification; ocean hydrodynamics and sea-level fluctuations; wind patterns, storms and hurricanes; agrometeorological conditions and crop yields; environmental pollution; hydrometeorological observation instruments; atmospheric turbulence and flight safety; ionospheric studies; geomagnetic activity; arctic and antarctic research; river runoff; satellite flood mapping, and the ozone layer and greenhouse gases. Russian Meteorology and Hydrology is published under the auspices of the Russian Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, and edited by Yu. A. Izrael, known internationally for his work on radioactive fallout.

Russian Physics Journal, a translation of Izvestiya vuz. Fizika, covers the broad spectrum of specialized research in applied physics, placing emphasis on work with practical applications in solid-state physics, optics, and magnetism. Particularly interesting results are reported in connection with: electroluminescence and crystal phospors; semiconductors; phase transformations in solids; superconductivity; properties of thin films; and magnetomechanical phenomena. Russian Physics Journal is a translation of the peer-reviewed Russian journal Izvestiya vuz. Fizika.

SERIEs is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It has been accepted for Social Sciences Citation Index and Journal Citation Report/Social Science Edition and will first appear with an Impact Factor in the 2012 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), released in 2013.SERIEs - Journal of the Spanish Economic Association is the result of a merger between the two most important academic economics journals in Spain, Spanish Economic Review (SER) and Investigaciones Económicas (IE). All papers are evaluated on the basis of scientific content.  Submissions are first screened for research and publication ethics prior to single-blind peer review, where the reviewers are aware of the names and affiliations of the authors, but the reviewer reports provided to authors are anonymous. Reviewers are asked to focus on the validity of the data and conclusions presented.  SN CCM reviews each submission from a ‘sound science’ perspective.
