New Ideas in Psychology: An International Journal of Innovative Theory in Psychology

ISSN: 0732-118XeISSN: 1873-3522

New Ideas in Psychology is a journal for theoretical psychology in its broadest sense. We are looking for new and seminal ideas, from within Psychology and from other fields that have something to bring to Psychology. We welcome presentations and criticisms of theory, of background metaphysics, and of fundamental issues of method, both empirical and conceptual. We put special emphasis on the need for informed discussion of psychological theories to be interdisciplinary. Empirical papers are accepted at New Ideas in Psychology, but only as long as they focus on conceptual issues and are theoretically creative. We are also open to comments or debate, interviews, and book reviews.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. New Microbes and New Infections is an official publication of the https://www.escmid.org/European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID). It serves the field as a peer-reviewed, open access journal for rapid dissemination of the latest research, with a particular focus on new genomes, new microbes, and new technology applied to the diagnosis of infectious/tropical diseases. Article categories include first descriptions of a microbe in a country, first descriptions of resistance in a country, first case reports in a country and mini-reviews, as well as full length original articles. New Microbes and New Infections offers clinicians and researchers a rapid route to publication and the opportunity to publish in a highly visible global forum. The journal draws on the same expert panel of reviewers as http://www.journals.elsevier.com/clinical-microbiology-and-infection/Clinical Microbiology and Infection (CMI). This new journal’s emphasis on concise reports on specific topics distinguishes it from Clinical Microbiology and Infection, which will continue to publish manuscripts presenting basic and applied research in the fields of microbiology, infectious diseases, virology, parasitology, immunology and epidemiology. The open access format of New Microbes and New Infections ensures that accepted manuscripts will be rapidly published and fully accessible by interested professionals worldwide.

Newborn and Infant Nursing Reviews

ISSN: 1527-3369

Newborn and Infant Nursing Reviews provides clinically relevant information that you can use daily. It's coverage goes beyond the scope of traditional NICU nursing, exploring concerns relevant to care outside of the neonatal period and the confines of the hospital. Each quarterly issue addresses a single topic, providing in-depth discussions of diagnosis, treatment, nursing implications/applications, new developments, clinical/evidence-based research, and controversies in the field. You'll also find case studies related to the issue topic.Newborn and Infant Nursing Reviews now includes regular columns that you can count on in every issue. Each column will relate to the issue's subject matter. Look forward to these columns: International Issues, Research Corner, Family, and Pharmacology. Plus, you will now find a crossword puzzle or related activity in every issue.2011 Topics, Volume 11, Issues 1-4MarchSimulation-Based LearningMichele DeGraziaJuneInternational IssuesCarole KennerSeptemberNeuroprotective StrategiesJackie McGrathDecemberHigher-Order MultiplesJudy Lewis

Nonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems

ISSN: 1751-570XeISSN: 1878-7460

Nonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems welcomes all important research and expository papers in the area of hybrid dynamic systems, i.e., systems involving the interplay between discrete and continuous dynamic behaviors.Computer and embedded reactive control systems which includes discrete switching logic and event-driven interactions with continuous systems are ubiquitous in everyday life. These systems become increasingly complex and difficult to design and to verify while the requirements for dynamics performances and safety are also increasing. The development of systematic methods for efficient and reliable design of hybrid systems is a key issue in control technology and industrial information, and thus it is currently of high interest to control engineers, computer scientists and mathematicians in research institutions as well as in many industrial sectors.Contributions are invited in all areas pertaining to hybrid dynamic systems including: Modeling, modeling languages and specification; Analysis, computability and complexity; Stochastic systems; Impulsive systems; Verification; Abstraction; Optimization; Control synthesis and real-time control; Computation and control over networks; Neural or fuzzy approaches to hybrid systems; Synchronization of oscillators and chaotic systems; Fault diagnosis and dependability; Simulation, implementation and tools.Contributions on applications of hybrid dynamic systems methods are also encouraged. Fields of interest include: process industry, automotive, avionics, communication networks, energy systems, transportation networks, embedded systems, biology and other sciences, manufacturing and robotics.
