IJMatEI highlights research and development into recent advances in composites, ceramics, functionally graded materials, cellular materials and ecomaterials. It covers all aspects of modern materials engineering, including preparation and processing, relationships between structure (nano/micro) and properties (physical, chemical, mechanical, thermal, electrical and magnetic), as well as performance and technological applications for advanced industry. New concepts for preparing, assembling and functionalisation of materials inspired by nature, or radically new approaches to improve existing processes and reliability of materials, are encouraged.

The IJMPT aims to address issues of interest to all industrialists and researchers concerned with new materials, new processes and new products.

IJMMNO addresses mathematical modelling, algorithm development, numerical methods, computer simulations and numerical optimisation as well as applications and case studies. It focuses on multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research to communicate new algorithms and techniques in mathematical modelling and numerical optimisation and promote real-world applications in all major areas of sciences, engineering and industry. IJMMNO publishes full-length original research papers, with a section dedicated to short research notes and concise case studies using modelling, simulation and optimisation.

IJMMS covers the broad field of mechatronics (computers, sensors, machines, and controls) and manufacturing systems, highlighting R&D in the modern engineering of advanced manufacturing technology. It addresses all manufacturing processes and systems, including machining systems, metal forming, welding and joining, lasers and electrically enhanced processes, plastics/composites/ceramics processing, additive/layered manufacturing processes, hybrid and microfabrication processes. IJMMS also reports work on broad industrial applications, e.g. mechanical product/consumer electronics manufacturing and applications in automotive, aerospace, machine tool, computer, biomedical and other industries.

IJMEI promotes an understanding of the structural/functional aspects of disease mechanisms and the application of technology towards the treatment/management of such diseases. It seeks to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between those interested in the theoretical and clinical aspects of medicine and to foster the application of computers and mathematics to problems arising from medical sciences. IJMEI includes authoritative review papers, the reporting of original research, and evaluation reports of new/existing techniques and devices. Each issue also contains a comprehensive information service.

IJMME is an interdisciplinary and refereed international journal that fosters innovative solutions to the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible exploration and extraction of mineral resources. It promotes feasible mining system design, development, and management, bringing together sustainable technologies, the people, and sound processes. It provides cross learning between various scientific and technological, as well as business and economics, disciplines.

The world of mobile communications is not a trend, but a phenomenon. IJMC, a fully refereed journal, publishes articles that present current practice and theory of mobile communications, mobile technology, and mobile commerce applications.

Most research and experiments in the fields of science, engineering and social studies have spent significant efforts to find rules from various complicated phenomena by observations, recorded data, logic derivations and so on. The rules are normally summarised as concise and quantitative expressions or "models". "Identification" provides mechanisms to establish the models and "control" provides mechanisms to improve the system's (represented by its model) performance. IJMIC has been set up to reflect the relevant generic studies in this area.
